Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment Hires Industry Veterans for Executive Leadership Team

Elizabeth Brooks Named Chief Marketing Officer and
Marilyn Hauser Joins as Senior Vice President of Programming

BROOKLYN – Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment has made two key hires for its marketing and programming departments. Elizabeth Brooks recently joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer and Marilyn Hauser will become Senior Vice President of Programming for Barclays Center beginning Dec. 18.

As CMO, Brooks oversees all of the marketing efforts for BSE’s teams and venues, including branding, advertising, merchandising, creative, digital and in-game presentation. Brooks joins BSE from Sopris Capital Associates, where she served as CMO and Executive in Residence for the private equity firm, working across multiple high-growth portfolio companies.

An industry leader with more than 20 years of experience, Brooks has held senior marketing roles in entertainment, technology, and music, including CMO of big data innovator Lucid, Senior Vice President of Content & Marketing for Live Nation Entertainment, and CMO of RealD, the global leader in 3D cinema. At Lucid, Brooks’s brand leadership propelled the company to its recent $60M minority investment round. While at Live Nation, Brooks drove triple digit growth in key digital customer metrics and grew revenue in digital, sponsorship, and branded content. Brooks reports to BSE CEO Brett Yormark.

Hauser, a prominent entertainment executive, will oversee the day-to-day booking of Barclays Center by continuing to build on existing relationships with promoters, agents, artist management, and content providers. She will also explore new programming opportunities and original event concepts for Brooklyn.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Hauser is joining BSE from Live Nation where she served as Senior Vice President of Talent Programming, and managed special projects for the New York City and Philadelphia offices. Prior to Live Nation, Hauser oversaw booking for Prudential Center as well as all aspects of event marketing, promotion and publicity. Before Newark, she spent 25 years at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan where she led programming and marketing for The Palace, DTE Energy Music Theatre, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, and the Detroit Pistons. Hauser will report to Keith Sheldon, EVP of Programming for all BSE venues.
