Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets marked the franchise’s 51st season in 2017-18 and their sixth since embarking on a new era with the move to downtown Brooklyn. Forty years after the incomparable Julius “Dr. J” Erving revolutionized the game while leading the Nets to two ABA championships, the franchise continues to blaze new trails, pursuing success on the court and building a global fan base. At HSS Training Center in Industry City, the Nets basketball and business operations call another of the borough’s dynamic, revitalized neighborhoods home.

New York Islanders

One of only two NHL franchises to have ever won as many as four consecutive Stanley Cup championships, the New York Islanders played their inaugural season in Brooklyn in 2015-16. For the 2018-19 season, they will continue to call Barclays Center home while playing a select portion of their schedule at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Long Island Nets

The Long Island Nets are the wholly owned and operated NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets. As a direct affiliate of the NBA franchise, the Long Island Nets provide the organization with an avenue for player and staff development in a consistent environment. The team is the anchor tenant of the newly renovated and reopened NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The red, white and blue colors of the Long Island Nets pay homage to the team’s heritage. The New York Nets wore those colors when they played at Nassau Coliseum from 1972-77, winning ABA titles in 1974 and 1976 before joining the NBA for the 1976-77 season.
